The mayor of Corregidora, Josué Guerrero Trapala, stated that there are no reasons for alarm in the municipality and that preventive monitoring is being maintained. 'We continue with this surveillance and monitoring, as well as coordination with the authorities,' declared the mayor.

'I cannot assert that there is no fuel theft in the municipality, but I assure you there will be no impunity if any crime is detected,' indicated the Secretary of Public Security of Corregidora, Ángel Rangel Nieves. In the periodic meetings with local authorities, only common crimes and administrative offenses have been reported.

The mayor mentioned that he has kept in contact with mayors of border municipalities such as Apaseo el Grande in Guanajuato to address the situation of violence in that area. Furthermore, he confirmed operations in the neighborhoods near the borders with Guanajuato and special attention on the roads connecting both states.

Regarding municipal operations, five establishments have been closed for failing to comply with legal regulations, and notifications have been sent to other venues for possible irregularities reported by citizens. Among the closed places are El Chemita, La Octava, Malibú, and Zeus.

The mayor reiterated that the municipality has experienced quiet months thanks to the preventive measures implemented; however, at the moment no extraordinary measures have been taken to curb insecurity. 'There is currently no issue to be alarmed about in Corregidora, nor for which to take extraordinary measures,' emphasized Guerrero Trapala.
