Controversy Surrounds Anselmi's Move to FC Porto

Martín Anselmi, former coach of Cruz Azul, has been presented as the new coach of Porto in Portugal. However, despite this announcement, the Lusitanian club has not yet made the payment for the release clause of the 39-year-old Argentine strategist, who remains linked to the Mexican team.

According to information from ESPN, Porto has not deposited the necessary funds to formally release Anselmi, which could lead to legal issues as Cruz Azul has warned that it is preparing a lawsuit for breach of contract. The president of the Mexican club stated that measures are already being taken in this regard.

Porto argues that there is a letter signed by Iván Alonso, the sporting director of Cruz Azul, stating that the amount of the release clause is three million dollars instead of five, as indicated by the Mexican club. So far, this letter has not been shown, and Alonso has denied its existence.

In light of this situation, the Portuguese team is considering presenting the alleged letter to the courts or FIFA, as Cruz Azul has expressed its intention to take this conflict to international instances.

During his presentation with Porto, Anselmi mentioned that his image was defamed and tarnished by Cruz Azul, claiming that the Mexican club attempted to change the agreed conditions of his transfer. The Argentine defended his position by stating that his decision was transparent and made upfront to the club.

Amid this controversy, uncertainty remains around Anselmi's future and the resolution of this conflict between the two clubs, which threatens to become even more complicated in the coming weeks.
