A few hours before the ball rolls in the Concacaf Champions Cup, a new digital option for fans arises due to the sudden breakup of the relationship between Fox Sports and the confederation. The Tubi platform will be responsible for broadcasting the matches scheduled in the calendar of the international competition.
In a statement shared last Monday, February 3, it was announced that starting Tuesday, February 4, fans will be able to tune in and watch the tournament's live matches on Tubi through the FOX Deportes channel on the digital platform, at no cost. Despite speculation about a change of broadcaster or a proprietary broadcast on YouTube, Tubi was chosen to host the competition.
"Their primary market is series and movies, but recently they have made a bet, like various streaming services, on sporting events," the statement shared on social media indicated. This streaming service linked to Fox Corporation launched in Mexico in 2020 and has experienced a 70% growth in total viewing time in the last year.
To enjoy the Concacaf Champions Cup through Tubi, fans can download the app for free on their devices. After completing a brief registration with their email, they will be able to access the home screen and select the live TV option to enjoy the live programming. In the sports section, they will find the schedule for the initial phase games, available at no cost.
