Charros de Jalisco Advance to the Final of the Caribbean Series

In the first round of the Caribbean Series 2025, Mexico faced Puerto Rico, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Japan, overcoming all of them. In the semifinals, they met again with the Puerto Rican Indios de Mayagüez, whom they defeated 3-1, thus securing their place in the grand final.

On the other hand, the Leones del Escogido of the Dominican Republic managed to impose themselves over Venezuela, Japan, and Puerto Rico, but fell 2-0 to the Charros de Jalisco in the semifinals. The Leones del Escogido have won the Caribbean Series four times, being runners-up in 2013. In contrast, the Charros de Jalisco from Mexico are seeking their tenth title.

The final between Mexico and the Dominican Republic will take place at the Estadio Nido de los Águilas at 7:00 PM, Central Mexico time. The Mexicans have had an outstanding performance in the tournament, while the Dominicans are the all-time leaders of the Caribbean Series with 22 championships.
