Unfortunately, violence in football is a recurring issue in recent years. Recently, a fan assaulted Mexican forward Alexis Vega during a match. In a video that circulated on social media, Vega can be seen warming up along the touchline under the gaze of the stands. Some comments pointed out the reprehensible behavior of the fan, who insulted the player and asked him to come closer.
In the video, it shows how after exchanging insults, the fan asked Vega to greet his son. To this, the player questioned the supporter about his behavior and the way he was calling him. Subsequently, Vega promised his jersey to the boy and upon the fan's refusal, he received a hit on the arm accompanied by a comment to calm down.
This situation exemplifies the problems with some fans who attend the stadiums. Many believe they have the right to insult players simply because they bought a ticket, but then request photos and autographs for their children, who receive a poor example of behavior.
The incident did not occur in a recent match against Chivas or in any round of Liga MX. The video belongs to the Leagues Cup match between Toluca and Chicago Fire, held in August 2024 in the United States.
