The Tigres team from Monterrey has ended its relationship with Serbian coach Veljko Paunovic, paving the way for an unusual project led by former player Guido Pizarro. After this decision, Paunovic was about to leave the country when he witnessed an accident at an airport entrance. Without hesitation, he stopped, got out of his vehicle, and provided assistance to the injured person, taking them to the nearest clinic.
According to reports from RG La Deportiva, a photo shared on the program showed Paunovic and his coaching staff attending to the injured person and transporting them in their vehicle for medical attention. Despite missing his flight, the coach acted selflessly to help the victim. As stated by the program: "Paunovic saved a person's life."
After managing only 37 matches with Tigres, achieving 21 wins, 6 draws, and 10 losses, Paunovic and his team are preparing for a new challenge in the United States, where they lived before joining the Mexican team. It is speculated that the coach's next professional step could be in Major League Soccer (MLS), where he is expected to find a new opportunity on the fields.
