The Pumas team achieved an important comeback in their recent match against Puebla at the Cuauhtémoc Stadium. Despite the home team opening the scoring after a defensive error, the red card shown to Brayan Angulo changed the course of the match in favor of the university team. With the numerical advantage, Pumas improved their performance in the second half and completed the comeback thanks to goals from Piero Quispe, Guillermo Martínez, and Ávila.

The presence of Efraín Juárez on the Pumas bench has given a positive boost to the team, which was going through a tough moment in the tournament. With this victory, Pumas reaches 14 points in the standings, tying with Chivas but currently remaining outside the play-in spots. The team will seek to maintain this good momentum in their upcoming commitments both in Concachampions and Liga MX.

The next important match for Pumas will be against Alajuelense in Costa Rica, as part of the Concacaf Concachampions Cup. Subsequently, the team will face opponents such as Monterrey, Club León, and Cruz Azul in the Mexican League, in a series of key matches for their aspirations in the tournament.
