In response to the controversy, Aldo Rocha reached out to Xolos captain, Inglis Hernández, via social media to offer apologies and explain that the intention was to have a neutral space like any other stadium in Liga MX. Rocha assured that there was no intention to disrespect the institution, stadium, or Xolos team. The captain of Atlas expressed his wishes for success for the border team and sent a message of respect and goodwill.
