Cruz Azul's consolation goal was scored by Agustín Palavecino in stoppage time. Earlier in the day, Juárez beat Mazatlán 2-1, Atlas defeated Puebla 1-0, and Tijuana drew with América 0-0. In another match, Necaxa defeated Santos Laguna 3-1, while Guadalajara comfortably beat Pachuca 2-0.
