In Querétaro, the second stage of the Educational Football Program (EFP) advanced, a sports development initiative that added 100 new girls, boys, and young people who will receive a full year of training at no cost. With this incorporation, the program reaches 400 participants in the state, after a first stage began four months ago with 300 members who train regularly in Alfalfares Park. The program is driven by the Real Madrid Foundation, in coordination with its partner in Mexico, True Sports, and with the sponsorship of Ciudad Maderas, in addition to the collaboration of the state Secretariat of Social Development. The program combines football training with a methodology focused on comprehensive development, incorporating values such as respect, discipline, effort, and teamwork, as well as activities that seek to strengthen social and personal skills. The sessions are held in morning and evening schedules at Alfalfares Park, where participants carry out periodic training as part of this training model. During the launch of this stage, the Secretary of Social Development, Luis Nava Guerrero; the general director of True Sports, Elizandra Bonatto; and the subdirector of Ciudad Maderas, Perla Mascareño, were present. The Educational Football Program is not a scouting process or a sports recruitment, but an educational model that uses sport as a tool for comprehensive training for girls, boys, and young people.
