An error that diminished his total score, but it did not decrease the confidence he feels in the changes he made to his routines—which he had previously presented at the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics—as he increased the difficulty.
This time, he will face the other 23 best in the world, among whom stands out American Ilia Malinin, who achieved the best score in the short program with 111.29 points.
