America Faces Tension as Liga MX Season Nears End

The regular season of Liga MX is coming to an end, with only three matchdays remaining. The pressure is mounting for teams to secure their place in the next round or improve their positions in the standings. One of the clubs under this pressure is América, two-time champions of the past Clausura 2024.

América is currently in ninth place with 21 points, followed by Atlas with 20 points. León, with 16 points, is the first team on the elimination list. Despite the tension, América still has chances to advance to the next phase if they maintain good performance in the remaining matchdays.

In the upcoming matchdays, América will face teams like Mazatlán, Pachuca, and Toluca. Staying in the "Play In" is the most realistic goal for the team, as two victories would secure their spot. There is also a possibility of advancing directly to the quarter-finals if they manage three consecutive wins.

Regarding injuries and returns, América welcomes back Richard Sánchez and Rodrigo Aguirre, although the participation of Sebastián Cáceres and Ramón Juárez remains uncertain. The team, coached by André Jardín, will aim to stay in the fight for a spot in the playoffs during these decisive matchdays.
