Player Roberto Alvarado has established himself as a prominent figure in the Chivas team during the last seasons. His dynamism on the wings and his goals in important moments have made him a fan favorite. Despite recently renewing his contract until the summer of 2029, rumors have emerged about his possible departure from the team to return to Cruz Azul.
The Cruz Azul management has prioritized Roberto Alvarado for the upcoming tournament, according to journalist Rodrigo Camacho. This possibility seems feasible given that Cruz Azul is looking for a replacement for the wing, following the sudden departure of Uriel Antuna at the beginning of the season. Furthermore, Cruz Azul still holds 50% of Alvarado's rights, which facilitates his return to the team.
Alvarado's possible return to Cruz Azul will mainly depend on his desire as a player, as financial issues would not be an obstacle. Although the club has a preferential deal to exercise the buyout clause, the value of his sale could increase due to his current contract until 2029.
Roberto Alvarado is valued at 7.5 million euros, according to the specialized transfer portal Transfermarkt.
