The Public Security Secretary of the municipality of Acámbaro in Guanajuato reported a car bomb attack in front of its headquarters, leaving three police officers injured, including one officer who was taken to a hospital. The incident occurred in the morning of October 24 in a municipality that has experienced an increase in homicide rates in recent years, due to clashes between criminal groups and local authorities.

The local secretary revealed that three police officers were injured in the attack, with one officer being taken to the hospital. Two men also sustained superficial injuries. Additionally, material damage was reported to the public security building, four nearby houses, and seven vehicles. So far, there are no reports of civilians injured as a result of the attack.

The attack occurred minutes after 6:00 AM in front of the police base located on Pinos Avenue. Both the security building and two nearby homes suffered damage due to the explosion.
