
The Guanajuato Prosecutor's Office has reported the detention of two individuals allegedly involved in the explosions that occurred last Thursday, October 24, in Acámbaro and Jerécuaro. These incidents left three police officers injured, one of them seriously, and caused damage to vehicles and property. Through the analysis of videos, interviews with witnesses, and other evidence, the institution has managed to reconstruct the sequence of events.
In a statement circulated on their social networks, the Prosecutor's Office informed that one of the detainees arrived at the facilities of Public Security in Acámbaro and was the one who activated the explosives. The arrested individuals were identified as José de Jesús 'N', known as 'El Refris', and Francisco Javier 'N'. Their capture was carried out in a joint operation by state and federal authorities.
It has been pointed out that the Prosecutor's Office has evidence that incriminates the detainees in other criminal acts committed in the Laja-Bajío area, which are under investigation. Additionally, this information has been shared with the Attorney General's Office (FGR) to carry out the corresponding procedures according to its jurisdiction.
