The financial situation at Televisa has gained greater relevance with the recent closure of several of its subsidiaries in different states of the country, including Guerrero. One of the affected subsidiaries was known for its local news program N+, with morning and evening editions hosted by Salvador Vázquez and Valeria Torres, as well as Martín Castillo respectively.
This closure has generated an emotional reaction among current and former collaborators, who have expressed their sadness over the disappearance of an informational space that for years was essential for the local audience.
The renowned actress Cynthia Klitbo has also shared her concerns about the economic crisis affecting many actors in the industry. Klitbo, who previously faced a financial setback, revealed during an interview at the Mexico City International Airport that several colleagues in the industry are experiencing serious economic difficulties.
In an environment where financial uncertainty has become apparent, some actors have resorted to selling their properties as a measure to cope with the crisis, demonstrating the gravity of the situation. One of the most recent closures was the branch in Acapulco, which involves the termination of contracts for 12 employees and the dismantling of the facilities.
The end of the broadcasts of the news program N+ on channel 9.1 has also marked a milestone in this process of closing local subsidiaries, concluding its operations on Sunday, January 13.
