The director of the Mexican Open Tennis, Álvaro Falla, expressed his enthusiasm for the quality of players who will participate in the thirty-second edition of the tournament. He highlighted that it will be an unprecedented event and that all matches will be challenging from the start.
Among the most prominent competitors is Alexander Zverev, who has already claimed the "Silver Guaje" in the past. Falla emphasized the importance of his presence and that of other high-level players, such as a number 2 and a number 4 in Acapulco, which promises extremely attractive matches.
Regarding the possible participation of Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner in the tournament, Falla mentioned that they have been in contact with both players and asked fans for patience. Although they are not on the official player list, the tournament director did not rule out the possibility of including them last minute in the main draw.
The Mexican Open Tennis has revealed the official list of players for 2025, which includes four top 10 tennis players, including Alexander Zverev. Although Djokovic and Sinner are not confirmed, Falla left open the possibility that they could join the tournament unexpectedly, thanks to the flexibility of the rules that would allow their last-minute participation.
