On February 15, local deputy Temístocles Villanueva celebrated his wedding with his partner Alhan Santamaría in Guerrero. As a memento for the guests, fans and woven palm bags were offered, reflecting a very Mexican style. Among the attendees were political scientist Genaro Lozano and the mayor of Nezahualcóyotl, Adolfo Cerqueda Rebollo, known for his support of the LGBTIQ+ community.

Temístocles Villanueva is a local deputy from the Morena party and commissioner for Human Mobility Attention in CDMX. He is recognized for his legislative work, especially for presenting the Paola Buenrostro Law in 2024, aimed at reforming articles related to transfemicide and access to justice for victims of transmisogynistic violence in the city.

The ceremony took place at La Casa de La Laguna, near Acapulco, where the couple shared moments of the event on social media. The entrance of the newlyweds was accompanied by the song "Sugar" by Maroon 5, and their first dance was to the rhythm of "Para Siempre" by Kaanny García. Alhan Santamaría had announced the wedding date in August 2024 on social media, highlighting the message of "A love that transcends labels, uniting hearts that recognize their authenticity."

During the celebration, guests were welcomed with cemita bread and lemon balm tea, a tradition from Chilpancingo, Guerrero.
