Catholics from the Mexican port of Acapulco held a representation of the Stations of the Cross on several beaches during Good Friday. In this activity, around 250 people gathered to pray for an end to the violence and insecurity in the region, as well as for the mothers and families of missing persons.
During the celebration, the believers expressed their deep desire to put an end to the violence affecting the area, seeking peace and tranquility for the community. Additionally, they kept in their prayers those who have suffered the disappearance of their loved ones, showing solidarity and empathy toward those families.
One of the central points of the representation was the reflection on the importance of forgiveness and reconciliation as paths to build a more peaceful and harmonious environment. The participants of the Stations of the Cross joined in prayer, seeking strength and hope to face the challenges that violence has imposed on their community.
Amid a setting that evoked the story of the crucifixion of Jesus, the faithful of Acapulco renewed their commitment to work for peace and justice in their environment. This activity was not only of a religious nature but also served as a call to action to eradicate violence and promote peaceful coexistence in the region.
