
The governor of Aguascalientes, Tere Jiménez, delivered more than 700 Pink Cards to women in the region. These women will receive bimonthly financial support as recognition for their work benefiting their neighborhoods or communities through social actions.
At an event held at the Hermanos Carreón Auditorium, various authorities were present, including senators, the president of the State DIF, federal and local deputies, and the municipal president of Calvillo, among others. During the delivery, the governor highlighted the importance of women's role in society and thanked those present for being an example for the people of Aguascalientes.
Raquel Vega Martínez, representing the beneficiaries, also thanked the governor for the support provided to women. This year, it is expected to benefit 3,000 women through this program, which aims to empower women and provide them with opportunities to improve their living conditions.
Tere Jiménez mentioned that the beneficiaries will have access to various supports, training, and services in areas such as education, health, employment, and sports, with the goal of promoting both their personal and professional development. For her part, Patricia Castillo Romero, head of the Secretariat of Social Development, highlighted that the "Pink Card" program benefited thousands of women last year, promoting community projects and disseminating state programs.
Patricia Cárdenas, general director of the Aguascalientes Institute for Women, emphasized the opening of eight Pink Houses in Aguascalientes to provide attention and protection to women, as well as the training of 22,000 pink agents and the establishment of 30 lactation rooms for working mothers. Finally, the municipal president of Aguascalientes, Leonardo Montañez Castro, praised the efforts of women to contribute to a better society.
