Senator Nora Ruvalcaba Gámez Leads Technological Business Meeting in Aguascalientes

Senator of the Republic Nora Ruvalcaba Gámez headed the 1st Technological Business Meeting 2026, a dialogue space that brought together in Aguascalientes international companies such as Huawei, BYD, and Strategyk; local business leaders; specialists; representatives of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) and customs; and experts from the productive sector to analyze the challenges and opportunities of the entity in the face of the reconfiguration of global supply chains. In her speech, the federal legislator pointed out that Aguascalientes has solid conditions to take advantage of this scenario, by registering in 2025 exports exceeding 13 billion dollars, with a cumulative growth of 210% in the last 18 years and a specialization in manufacturing that represents 98% of its foreign sales. Ruvalcaba Gámez indicated that the entity has an economically active population of 689 thousand people and a diversified productive structure —with 6 out of every 10 workers in the service sector and 3 in manufacturing—, as well as more than 41 thousand employers, with an annual growth of 6.2%.

STRATEGIC INFRASTRUCTURE The legislator added that this performance is sustained by strategic infrastructure, such as an international airport that mobilized more than 984 thousand passengers in 2025, a highway bypass through which more than 7 thousand vehicles pass daily, mainly cargo, as well as more than 60 higher education institutions that form specialized talent. However, she warned that the state participates with only 2% of the total national exports, which reflects the size of the opportunity to scale its economic development. In this sense, she stressed that the challenge is not only to sustain the growth achieved but to move towards a new stage that incorporates innovation, logistics integration, and technological development. As part of this vision, specialists presented the project of the Aguascalientes Strategic Logistics Center (CELA), conceived as an integral ecosystem that articulates logistics, energy, technology, and industry in the same space. This model contemplates the development of up to 1000 hectares for the installation of industrial platforms, the implementation of trade facilitation schemes such as strategic fiscal enclosures (RFE), as well as the integration of supply chains in real time and energy solutions based on intelligent storage.

NATIONAL AND FOREIGN INVESTMENT In this sense, specialists indicated that the objective of CELA is to strengthen the attraction of national and foreign investment, generate well-paid jobs, and consolidate Aguascalientes as a strategic node in international trade. In this regard, the senator highlighted that CELA is part of a broader strategy aimed at the consolidation of two Welfare Development Poles, in tune with the development vision promoted by the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, which proposes economic growth with inclusion and shared prosperity. In turn, she explained that these Poles will allow scaling the state's participation in global markets, taking advantage of its logistics and industrial vocation and the current international conditions. Finally, Nora Ruvalcaba stated that the future of Aguascalientes will depend on the coordination between the public sector, private initiative, unions, and educational institutions, as well as the ability to transform opportunities into economic development and social welfare. Hassan Pérez Saleh, CEO of CELA Logistics; Zhou Bo, CEO of Huawei Digital Power México; Juan Carlos Arroyo, CEO of Strategyk; Anel Hernández, Brand Director of BYD Trucks; Héctor Landeros, consultant for Strategic Fiscal Enclosures; as well as executives from companies such as Grupo Constructor PEASA, Global Cast, Nearustech, Grupo Dovela Construcciones, VICA Construcciones, Company MX Grupo ABA, PROENEMEX, Aguascalientes Agro-Food Council, Aguascalientes International Airport, among others, were present at the event.
