Two renowned creators, Gaz Alazraki and Marcos Bucay, are working on the new Mexican version of the popular comedy series "The Office." Amazon Prime Video has confirmed that this adaptation will take place, and part of the plot has been revealed.

Marcos Bucay, known for his work on "Cómo sobrevivir soltero," is responsible for the Mexican adaptation, while Gaz Alazraki, producer of series like "Club de Cuervos," will take care of the direction. The news has generated high expectations, as Alonso Aguilar, director of Mexico Originals at Amazon Studios, assures that they have something unique that will surpass the expectations of fans of previous versions.

"It is really exciting to make our own version of one of the most successful comedies of all time," said Gaz Alazraki, who has dreamed of adapting this series since 2003. Marcos Bucay added that the Mexican version will be a celebration of office culture in Mexico and promises to be a pleasant surprise for the public.

The new Mexican series, titled "La Oficina," will focus on the subculture of Mexican office workers and will be set in Aguascalientes. The boss, named Jerónimo Ponce III, will be played by an actor yet to be revealed. The plot will revolve around the family business Jabones Olimpo and the comedic situations that employees will face under the questionable leadership of Jerónimo.

This will not be the first Spanish adaptation of "The Office," as a version called "La Ofis" was previously made in Chile. The Chilean series had one season in 2008, and now the Mexican version is set to premiere soon on Amazon Prime Video. Although there is still no confirmation regarding the cast, "La Oficina" is expected to maintain the chaotic and fun tone characteristic of the original series.
