Ricardo Anaya Named New PAN Senate Coordinator

Jorge Romero, national leader of the PAN, announced during the party's plenary session in Aguascalientes a change in parliamentary coordination. After talking to each member of the parliamentary group, Romero decided to appoint Ricardo Anaya as the coordinator of the PAN in the Senate, based on personal conviction and the majority decision of the group. Romero expressed: "Out of personal conviction and because it is the result of a majority of this parliamentary group that decided this way, I have decided to appoint Senator Ricardo Anaya as parliamentary coordinator in the Senate."

In his first speech as coordinator, Anaya affirmed the party's commitment to the quality of life of Mexican families. He highlighted the willingness to support what benefits families and to firmly oppose anything that goes against their interests. He thanked the support and recognized the work of Lupita Murguía at the head of the coordination, which concludes today.

Anaya's designation as the new coordinator in the Senate for the upcoming ordinary period, which begins on February 1, involved the fundamental support of Governor Mauricio Kuri. This support was crucial in Romero's final decision, along with the opinion of the Governor of Chihuahua, Maru Campos, who is a close friend of Anaya. The renewal in the coordination was a process in which the ideas and opinions of the parliamentary group members were heard, culminating in Anaya's appointment to lead the PAN in the Senate.
