
The mayor of Apodaca, César Garza Arredondo, congratulated local police for the positive results achieved by the end of 2024. He emphasized the importance of maintaining social commitment to the community and urged to redouble efforts to meet the security goals expected by the residents of Apodaca.
Accompanied by the Secretary of Public Safety and Traffic, Víctor Navarro, and other police leaders, Garza Arredondo encouraged the cadets of the academy to give their best and strive to achieve learning objectives and serve the population with dedication and commitment.
The mayor praised the performance of public servants, especially the Security corporation, highlighting the sacrifice they make by risking their lives for the well-being of citizens. Following the publication of the results of the National Urban Security Survey (ENSU), which indicated a 9% improvement in the perception of insecurity in Apodaca, the municipal government recognized the work of the police.
During the first 100 days of the government, significant progress in Apodaca in this indicator was highlighted at the national level. According to the survey, the perception of insecurity decreased by 9 percentage points, going from 42.4 to 33.4 between September and December 2024. Additionally, in one year, it improved by more than 23 percentage points.
As part of measures to reinforce security and prevention in Apodaca, the acquisition of patrol cars, surveillance towers, and monitoring cameras is planned. Garza Arredondo emphasized the importance of providing police with the necessary equipment and technology to complement their work.
The mayor stressed the pursuit of excellence by the Secretary of Public Safety and Traffic, highlighting the importance of continuous improvement in all areas of the corporation. The importance of continuing to work on comprehensive prevention and surveillance programs, such as the Proximity Guard, Neighborhood Watch, Free Women, and We Are Better Men, was emphasized.
