
The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García, highlighted that the state contributed the most to the country's economy last year and expressed his interest in continuing to support the president and other states as needed. García mentioned that Nuevo León is ready to unite with the Presidency and provide all possible support. Regarding security, the governor reported that the state is in good security condition with the neighboring country, although he thanked the Federal Government for the reinforcement that will be implemented at the Colombia Customs with elements of the National Guard.
In another context, a celebration was held in Cerralvo where it was announced that the Presidency intends to celebrate Army Day at the new Military Regiment in that locality. García declared himself ready to receive the federal leader at this event. President Claudia Sheinbaum emphasized the importance of remembering that the Constitution strengthens the homeland and the sovereignty of Mexico in times when threats to the country arise.
Samuel García accompanied the federal executive at the Commemorative Ceremony of the 108th Anniversary of the promulgation of the Mexican Constitution, held in Querétaro. At the event, the governor reiterated his support for the president regarding the decisions made in response to the United States' threat to impose tariffs, expressing satisfaction with the pause in their application to the country. He highlighted the importance of keeping the USMCA alive for Nuevo León, due to the high exportation to the United States from the region.
Present at the ceremony were the governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González, the secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez Velázquez, the president of the Senate's Board of Directors, José Gerardo Fernández Noroña, and Sergio Gutiérrez Luna, president of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies, along with governors from other states, federal, state, and municipal officials, senators, and legislators. President Claudia Sheinbaum's achievement of temporarily pausing the tariffs from the United States has contributed to maintaining calm in Nuevo León.
