The Guerrero Prosecutor's Office arrested Germán "N", an individual identified as responsible for the homicide of the mayor of Chilpancingo, Alejandro Arcos. Germán "N", also known as Germán Reyes Reyes, is a retired Military Justice captain who held the position of head of the Security Office of Chilpancingo at the time of his detention.
The alleged perpetrator was arrested by elements of the Ministerial Investigative Police in compliance with an arrest warrant issued by a Control Court in Chilpancingo for the crime of qualified homicide. Following his arrest, Germán "N" was brought before the corresponding Judge to determine his legal situation.
It is worth mentioning that Mayor Alejandro Arcos was violently murdered, being decapitated just six days after taking office. Previously, Germán Reyes Reyes had held the position of head of the High Impact Crimes Prosecutor's Office of Guerrero.
The detention of Germán "N" represents progress in the investigation of the case and an important step towards achieving justice for the murder of the mayor of Chilpancingo.
