The mayor of Cuauhtémoc, Alessandra Rojo de la Vega, launched the program 'One Project a Day' with the comprehensive recovery of Agustín Melgar and Pachuca streets in the Condesa neighborhood. A total of 8,204 square meters were intervened for the benefit of more than four thousand residents in the area, with an investment of 8.5 million pesos. The project included resurfacing, striping, installation of road markers, and placement of streetlights from the 'Brilla Cuauhtémoc' program.
"These actions aim to improve mobility and urban aesthetics, as well as prioritize safety in one of the busiest neighborhoods in the Cuauhtémoc borough," said Alessandra Rojo de la Vega. The goal of the program is to intervene in all neighborhoods of Cuauhtémoc with various actions to provide dignified, clean, and safe streets for residents.
Alessandra Rojo de la Vega reaffirmed her commitment to recovering public spaces in the 33 neighborhoods to return them to the families of the district. These interventions have a comprehensive approach to ensure that the work done improves the quality of life for those who pass through the rehabilitated roads. The mayor explained: "We continue with one project a day. As our 33 neighborhoods should be, we will gradually recover all our streets and, as always, with lighting, with 'Brilla Cuauhtémoc' hand in hand, to make streets safer and peaceful."
