The Cuauhtémoc mayor's office and the United Kingdom have established an alliance to offer free English courses in the district. These courses will take place in the 18 Child Development Centers (CENDIS) of Cuauhtémoc, including locations such as Pugibet, San Cosme, Professor Griselda Álvarez, Hidalgo, Beethoven, Morelia, Mixcalco, Francisco González Bocanegra, San Joaquín, and Bugambilia.
Interested individuals can enroll by visiting any of the mentioned CENDIS, and it is important to highlight that these courses will be completely free. The initiative will also include activities focused on the protection of cultural and natural heritage, the fight against climate change, and the promotion of gender equity, as part of the commitment of Cuauhtémoc's mayor's office to sustainable development and the construction of inclusive and equitable communities.
The British Ambassador to Mexico, Susannah Goshko, met with Cuauhtémoc Mayor Alessandra Rojo de la Vega to establish a joint work agenda covering educational, cultural, environmental, and human rights issues. This collaboration also includes the screening of the film cycle 'Five Films for Freedom' in the cultural centers of the district, aiming to promote democratic values and human rights.
Alessandra Rojo de la Vega, the mayor of Cuauhtémoc, emphasized the importance of joining efforts with the international community and different sectors of society to implement initiatives that have a positive impact on the lives of the district's residents. The collaboration with the British Council, an institution of the British Government with 90 years of experience in teaching English and cultural and educational development, ensures the support and quality of free English courses for the community.
