"Our work has yielded results," declared Sheinbaum, referring to a communication with Trump that resulted in the postponement of tariffs. These actions are part of the security strategy aimed at strengthening the bilateral relationship with the United States, focusing on combating drug trafficking and organized crime.

In an unprecedented measure, Harfuch led the extradition of 29 criminal kingpins to the United States, sending a clear message to the White House. The arrest of Roberto "N", also known as "Gordo Jr.", took place in Cuernavaca. This individual had a warrant for his arrest in the U.S. for drug distribution and links to organized crime.

The second arrest was of Leonel "N", alias "El Sobrino", one of the most wanted in Texas and Chihuahua for his connection to the criminal group "Los Cabrera", associated with the Sinaloa Cartel. He faces serious charges in the United States and his detention represents a breakthrough in bilateral cooperation on security matters.

Another relevant case was the arrest of Rafael Caro Quintero, a historic leader of the Guadalajara Cartel, accused of participating in the kidnapping and murder of DEA agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena. These arrests demonstrate joint efforts to combat transnational crime and comply with extradition requests from the neighboring country.
