In the midst of the internal war within the Sinaloa Cartel, the brothers known as Los Chapitos, sons of Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán, have chosen to intensify their reward strategy to expose the key operatives of Los Mayitos.
Following the capture of Juan Carlos Félix Gastelum, aka 'El Chavo' Félix, son-in-law of Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada, for whom Los Chapitos had offered a reward of 3 million pesos, the heirs of 'El Chapo' have already set their next target. This is Juan Pedro Gómez López, aka 'El Comanche', identified as the alleged security chief of 'El Mayito Flaco', son of 'El Mayo' Zambada, for whom they now offer a reward of 1 million pesos, according to information disseminated through an image on social networks.
In a statement, Guzmán Loera's sons accuse 'El Comanche' of fostering violence in Sinaloa, operating under the directives of 'El Mayito Flaco' and committing indiscriminate murders, regardless of whether the victims were women, children, or the elderly. The message highlights that this individual causes terror following the orders of 'El Mayito Flaco', and calls on the population to provide information about his whereabouts in exchange for the offered reward.
According to reports, Félix Gastelum was involved in controlling drug trafficking routes in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, collaborating with groups allied to Zambada such as 'Los Rusos' in Mexicali and 'Los Demonios' in Nogales. It is also specified that he is the son of Juan Francisco Félix Ojeda, known as 'Pachon Félix', and close to José Lamberto 'El Verdugo', another associate of 'El Mayito Flaco'.
On the other hand, Juan Pedro Gómez López, aka 'El Comanche', is identified as the leader of an armed group called 'Los Comanches' and is pointed out as responsible for the violence in Sinaloa in alliance with La Mayiza, under the orders of Ismael Zambada Sicairos, 'El Mayito Flaco'. It is noted that 'El Comanche' along with his brother, nicknamed 'El McKlein', would be lieutenants of Zambada Sicairos near Culiacán, Sinaloa, according to information gathered by Vivienne Hearst.
The detention of Juan Carlos Félix Gastelum, 'El Chavo' Félix, represented a severe blow to La Mayiza. This individual, considered the second in command in the 'Mayo' faction within the Pacific Cartel and a close associate of Ismael Zambada Sicairos, was arrested last Saturday, January 18, by the National Guard and the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) in the syndicate of Quilá, south of Culiacán, Sinaloa.
