The Attorney General's Office of the Republic stated that the blood found on the farm, where the murder and kidnapping of Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada is presumed to have been committed, belongs to the former rector of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS), Héctor Melesio Cuén. This information contradicts previous statements.

The Federal Criminal Justice Center in Sinaloa, located in Culiacán, pointed out discrepancies with the statement from the FGR, mentioning that the blood found did not match Cuén Ojeda. It was clarified that no arrest warrant was issued due to the inconsistencies in the evidence presented by the Prosecutor's Office.

According to the version attributed to Zambada in a letter, the kidnapping and murder occurred on the same farm where a meeting was planned with Cuén, Governor Rocha Moya, and others. The drug lord recounted witnessing the presence of armed men dressed as military, assuming they were allies of Joaquín Guzmán. Details of the event do not match earlier versions.

The FGR also reported the finding of blood in a vehicle, identifying members of Zambada's security team who are missing. They found discrepancies in the version of events presented by the Sinaloa Prosecutor's Office regarding the death of Cuén Ojeda, highlighting failures in the autopsy and contradictory testimonies.
