
Jasón Rodríguez and Yukhie Adaly Lee, students of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS), were confirmed as the victims of a tragic event that occurred on the night of October 24 in Culiacán. According to university authorities, both young people were murdered during a chase carried out by hitmen on motorcycles while traveling along the Agricultores Boulevard, located in the eastern part of the city.
Jasón Rodríguez, a student at the Faculty of Medicine, and Yukhie Adaly, a student at the Faculty of Design, were attacked without any apparent reason. UAS issued a statement demanding that the relevant authorities clarify the murders of these two young people who had an academic future ahead.
According to reports, the students were intercepted by two motorcyclists while driving a Nissan Sentra. In an attempt to escape, they accelerated, but unfortunately, the attackers shot at them and hit their target. Jasón died at the scene of the attack, while Yukhie was taken to a hospital in critical condition and later died due to the serious injuries sustained.
In addition to the two fatalities, another male person was injured by a stray bullet amidst the confusion generated during the attack. Local authorities continue to investigate what occurred in this tragic incident that has shocked the student community and society in general.
