Netflix has demonstrated its commitment to Mexico by becoming a key player in the country's audiovisual industry. As part of this commitment, the company has launched the "Netflix Fund for Creative Equity in Mexico," with an investment of 22 million pesos over two years to boost opportunities in the entertainment sector.
Regarding infrastructure projects, in 2022 the construction of the largest film studios in Latin America was announced in Ecatepec, State of Mexico, with an initial investment of 90 million pesos. Additionally, in 2021, Netflix allocated more than 300 million dollars to produce around 50 original titles in Mexico, including local and global productions.
The Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard, has suggested the possibility of new investments by Netflix in Mexico, which could imply more projects and collaborations in the country. These initiatives reflect Netflix's strategy to strengthen its presence in Mexico, supporting local production and talent development in the audiovisual industry.
