To reinforce surveillance and ensure security in the State of Mexico, Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez delivered 100 patrol cars to the State Security Secretariat (SSEM), as part of the peacebuilding model promoted by her administration in the region.

"This peacebuilding model that we are promoting day by day in each of the 125 municipalities of the State of Mexico is not just about reacting, but about preventing, addressing the deep causes that generate violence in communities," stated Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez.

This is the first package of 100 vehicles out of a total of 200 that will be delivered in the coming days as part of the security strategy implemented by the state leader, which has significantly reduced crime rates. In 2024, the lowest level of crime in the last seven years was recorded.

The governor highlighted that these achievements are the result of a comprehensive strategy that addresses the structural causes of violence, as well as the commitment and dedication of the police forces. She stated that "Ecatepec needs greater presence, greater attention, and why not, greater commitment from all of us," emphasizing coordinated work with citizens.

The new patrol cars are equipped with advanced technology, such as interior and exterior surveillance systems, double cabin, rollover bars, and alarm buttons to enhance surveillance, assistance, and protection efforts. The physical integrity of officers is prioritized with various protection mechanisms, including airbags, ventilated disc brakes, and adjustable three-point seat belts.

The governor pointed out that the commitment to the State Police has been reinforced, including salary adjustments, uniforms, and quality tactical equipment such as ballistic vests and firearms. Cristóbal Castañeda Camarillo, secretary of state security, emphasized that this delivery is aligned with the State of Mexico Development Plan 2023-2029.

The event was attended by Horacio Duarte Olivares, Secretary General of the State Government; Azucena Cisneros Coss, mayor of Ecatepec; local and federal deputies, and business leaders.
