
In Ecatepec, specifically on a plain at Av. de las Torres almost at the intersection with Primero de Mayo, Col. Jardines de Morelos 5th section, a human skull was found. Neighbors alerted the authorities after noticing that community dogs were playing with the bones.
After the report, municipal police arrived at the scene and confirmed that it was a human skull. The area was secured, and the bones were found under a patrol car from quadrant 25. It is still unknown whether it belonged to a man or a woman.
Representatives from the Public Ministry and forensic experts from the General Prosecutor's Office of the State of Mexico attended the site to carry out the collection and transfer of the remains. Exams will be conducted to identify to whom the skull belongs.
There has been speculation that the skull may have been stolen from a cemetery for ritual purposes. It is also considered to belong to someone reported missing some time ago or to someone who recently passed away.
