The elected governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus, presented the second part of his work team for the economic cabinet, composed of specialists in finance, public management, and tax experts. In a press conference at a hotel in the Zona Minerva in Guadalajara, he highlighted the specialists who will accompany him during his term for the period 2024-2030.
Among the profiles presented are Luis García Sotelo, the next secretary of public finance; Juan Partida Morales, who will lead the Institute of Pensions of the State of Jalisco (IPEJAL); and Cynthia Cantero Pacheco, the next secretary of planning and citizen participation. Lemus expressed that the outgoing administration of Governor Enrique Alfaro leaves him with solid finances and that the presented profiles will contribute to strengthening this area.
In his words, Lemus Navarro stated: "I feel very calm about the financial situation that will be handed over to me by the current administration in the State of Jalisco. There has been responsible management of public finances. We have as our campaign motto 'Jalisco always better' and that is why I take the opportunity to introduce the following profiles."
Luis García Sotelo, a graduate in economics with a doctorate in tax, mentioned that his work will be geared towards programs and actions that genuinely benefit citizens, based on a tripartite structure focused on fiscal policy for development and equity, improving the quality of public spending, and fiscal responsibility.
For his part, Juan Partida Morales, the next head of IPEJAL, who currently serves as secretary of finance under Alfaro, emphasized that the investments of state workers must promote environmental protection and social welfare.
Cynthia Cantero Pacheco, future secretary of planning and citizen participation, indicated that an effective coordination will be established where all voices of the people of Jalisco will be heard and taken into account in the development of the entity.
