The first ITB Americas forum will take place in Mexico, in Guadalajara, and will be held annually. It will become a key event for the tourism industry in North America, Central and South America, as well as in the Caribbean. Leading industry participants, partners, and strategic buyers will gather here.
The event's organization announcement in Guadalajara was made during the ITB Berlin exhibition, where Michelle Fridman Hirsch, the Minister of Tourism of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus Navarro, the Governor of Jalisco, and Gustavo Staufert, the Director of the Office for Tourism Reception and Conference Organization in Guadalajara, spoke. A press conference is scheduled for March 12 to provide more detailed information.
ITB Berlin is considered the largest and most significant tourism exhibition in the world and serves as a platform for representatives of the global travel and tourism industry. Hundreds of participants and professionals from the industry gather here each year for the exchange of experiences, establishing contacts, and promoting their services.
Various market segments are represented at ITB, such as Adventure Tourism, Business Tourism, LGBTQ+ Tourism, VIP Tourism, Medical Tourism, and Travel Technologies.
Hotels, tourism organizations, airlines, car rental services, and other companies working in the travel industry will be present at the event.
The recent ITB Berlin Convention gathered over 100,000 participants from 190 countries. Guadalajara has become the location for the first ITB Americas forum after the organizers announced its launch. This will allow Jalisco to strengthen its position as a tourism hub on the continent.
