New Health Program in Jalisco

The governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus, presented the health program "Doctors of Jalisco at Your Home," designed to provide medical care to the elderly, people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and caregivers through brigades with specialized personnel. Accompanied by the Mayor of Guadalajara, Verónica Delgadillo, and the Secretary of Health of the State of Jalisco, Héctor Raúl Pérez Gómez, Lemus explained that 300 health workers will offer medical care services in homes throughout the state.

In the presentation, Lemus emphasized that the brigades would reach the homes of patients who cannot travel, either due to advanced age or some medical condition. The Secretary of Health of the state highlighted the importance of this program, aimed at assisting more than 50% of the Jalisco population without social security. The possible creation of a universal public services credential in Jalisco was mentioned to facilitate access to medical care in any health center in the state and other benefits.

The launch of the program "Doctors of Jalisco at Your Home" is already underway, with brigades beginning to work in different areas of Jalisco, prioritizing the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area. Additionally, it was reported that the Government of Jalisco continues to expand the Jalisco Health Insurance so that those without social insurance can enroll. It was indicated that patients with complex diagnoses will be referred to appropriate health centers to improve their treatment.

The program aims to guarantee quality medical care for those vulnerable sectors of the population, focusing on bringing health services directly to the homes where they are most needed. Lemus pointed out that these initiatives are part of the government's commitment to the health of Jalisco residents, highlighting the importance of ensuring access to health services for all inhabitants of the state.
