In the recent demonstration in front of the Guadalajara Cathedral, an incident occurred in which a black truck rammed into a group of pro-life protesters, leaving 16 people injured and causing significant material damage. Authorities arrested Sergio "N", 33 years old, the driver of the vehicle which was allegedly stolen at the time of the incident.
The presbyter Jesús Feregrino, representing the Archdiocese of Guadalajara, mentioned that the security device in the Historical Center failed during the demonstration held in support of Women and Life. Although there had been no prior meeting with the authorities, support was indeed provided with security personnel in the area; however, the effectiveness of this device is being questioned.
Jaime Cedillo, coordinator of lobbying for the National Front for the Family, requested support and transparency for the victims and their families, as well as a clear and diligent investigation by the authorities. He emphasized the importance of holding the responsible party accountable for the consequences of their actions and facing the weight of the law for the damages caused.
