In the middle of the holiday season, Guanajuato capital has activated the Spring Crafts Festival 2026, a platform that seeks to strengthen the commercialization of local products and bring the public pieces with state identity. The event brings together 35 Marca Guanajuato companies, which exhibit and sell metalwork, wood, pottery, ceramics, as well as agro-food products and the leather-footwear-textile sector. The venue is the Casa de las Artesanías, right in the Center, where five halls and two courtyards were set up for the exhibition, in addition to a permanent sales point that benefits about 90 producers throughout the year.
More than tradition: economic impact
Behind each piece there is a productive chain that supports local employment and the economy. Only the pottery and ceramics cluster in Guanajuato brings together 11,816 economic units and generates 34,651 jobs, positioning the sector as one of the most relevant within the state's traditional industries. In this context, the festival not only functions as a cultural showcase but also as a direct sales channel during one of the periods with the highest tourist flow.
Marca Guanajuato is a distinction promoted by the state government that certifies the origin, quality, and identity of products made in the entity. Through this seal, it seeks to strengthen the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, facilitate their access to new markets, and promote local consumption. It groups producers from sectors such as crafts, agro-foods, leather-footwear, and textiles, becoming a key strategy to position Guanajuato's talent within and outside the state.
Dates, times, and location
The Spring Crafts Festival will be available from March 27 to April 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The venue is the Casa de las Artesanías, located at Plaza de la Paz No. 14, in the center of Guanajuato capital. During these days, visitors and locals will be able to purchase products directly from their creators in an environment that combines tradition, design, and local consumption.
