
The Governing Board and Political Coordination of the Congress of the State of Guanajuato unanimously approved the integration of the 2025 Lobbyists Registry, a record that will allow the formal participation of citizens and organizations in the promotion of legislative initiatives. In total, 85 applications were received, of which 63 correspond to new registrations and 22 are renewals of previous registrations. Of the total, 84 are natural persons and 1 legal entity. The updated list is already available on the official website of the Congress of Guanajuato.
Lobbying is a legitimate activity in which individuals promote their own or third-party interests before Congress bodies and deputies, with the aim of advancing initiatives and strengthening legislative decision-making. Present at the session were deputies María del Pilar Gómez Enríquez (president of the Congress) and Carolina León Medina, as well as deputies Jorge Arturo Espadas Galván, David Martínez Mendizábal, Alejandro Arias Ávila, Sergio Alejandro Contreras Guerrero, and Rodrigo González Zaragoza.
After the designation by the Congress of the State of Guanajuato of Gerardo Vázquez Alatriste as the new Attorney General of the State, Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo received him at the Government Palace. The purpose of the meeting was to initiate close collaboration on security and strengthening the rule of law.
During the meeting, the governor highlighted that both share the vision of building a safer future for Guanajuato, working intelligently and closely with the citizens. "We both share the vision that a better future is possible if we work with intelligence, closeness, and without forgetting that we owe ourselves to the people of Guanajuato," commented Libia García.
