Guanajuato Congress to Audit Public Funds

The Congress of Guanajuato has decided to audit Fondos Guanajuato, a move that arises shortly after the Finance Commission requested an audit for the FIDESSEG. With this initiative, legislators aim to scrutinize the management of public resources to ensure their efficient and effective use for the benefit of the citizenry.

In parallel, the implementation of a new resource distribution scheme is being considered, as well as the conduct of the audit of Fondos Guanajuato in the coming months. This measure is part of a broader process aimed at reviewing and improving the management of public funds in the state.

On another line of action, the Congress of Guanajuato is evaluating the extinction of FIDESSEG in collaboration with the New Beginning Secretariat. The goal is to establish a more equitable resource distribution system that benefits a greater number of civil associations. The results of these actions will be decisive for the design of future public policies in areas such as social development and public safety in the region.

On the other hand, the Legislative Power has agreed to subject Fondos Guanajuato, the financial entity created by the state government to support micro, small, and medium enterprises, to an audit. This measure, backed by the Green Party, seeks to reinforce transparency in the management of public resources and ensure that they reach the most vulnerable sectors of the population.

In a recent session of the Finance and Oversight Commission of the Congress of Guanajuato, these and other relevant topics were addressed in the presence of deputies who are members of this commission.
