Searching mother Ceci Flores again gave statements on her X account about the discovery of possible human remains of her son in Hermosillo, Sonora, an event that has opened a key forensic process to determine his identity. Almost a week after the discovery, the activist has shared details about the conditions in which they were found and the actions taken with the authorities, in a case that keeps the public eye on the progress of the investigations and their official results.
“I have waited for almost seven years”: Ceci Flores
Through a statement posted on X, Flores reported that she held meetings with the Sonora Prosecutor's Office, as well as with genetics and forensic services personnel, who explained to her that "the conditions in which the remains were found have hindered the obtaining of a conclusive genetic profile." She added that "no positive DNA results have been achieved" that officially confirm if they belong to her son, Marco Antonio Sauceda Rocha.
In a subsequent video, the activist acknowledged the authorities' work and asked for patience: "I have waited for almost seven years, I think a few more days should not wear down my life."

However, she expressed her pain over the state in which the remains were found: "It is not even half of my son's body... the least I deserve is a whole son." She also stressed that she will continue her search: "I will not rest until they can deliver the remains to me."
The discovery in the desert:
On March 24, during location work on Highway 26 in Hermosillo, Flores found skeletal remains in an arid area, which from the beginning she considered could correspond to her son, who disappeared in 2019. However, the conditions of the terrain and the time of exposure would have caused the wear and tear and dispersion of the bones, complicating their identification. From that moment, the searching mother has insisted that the body was not complete and that it is necessary to continue the work in the area to recover more fragments.
