The collective Buscadoras Por La Paz Sonora reported the discovery of 26 graves in a clandestine cemetery in Hermosillo, where 27 skeletal remains or bodies have been found so far. The official number will be determined by the forensic team of the Attorney General's Office of the State of Sonora (FGJES). Forensic experts from the prosecutor's office are working on processing various search sites located at kilometer 20+500 of Highway 26, on the coast of Hermosillo, in collaboration with the mentioned collective.
From the prosecutor's office, the presence of human remains has been confirmed at 11 search sites. It was specified that work is being carried out to determine the number of possible victims, which requires thorough processing of the site and a forensic analysis of the evidence found. This process involves agents from the Criminal Investigation Ministerial Agency, members of the National Guard, personnel from the State Commission for the Search of Missing Persons in Sonora, and the Deputy Attorney General's Office for Missing Persons.
In another incident, the Attorney General's Office of Chihuahua concluded the search on a property identified as "El Willy," located near Ejido Ignacio Zaragoza, in the municipality of Casas Grandes. There, 56 bodies were exhumed from eight clandestine graves. During the operations, various human remains and objects related to the findings were discovered.
During the days of searching in Chihuahua, 38 graves were located, which were processed by forensic criminologists, forensic anthropologists, agents from the Public Prosecutor's Office, and members of the State Investigation Agency. The discovery of complete and incomplete bodies, skeletal remains, limbs, and other bone fragments, whose origin is being investigated, was detailed.
