The Attorney General's Office of the State of Sonora (FGJES), in collaboration with the collective Buscadoras por la Paz Sonora, is carrying out the processing of 11 clandestine graves located at kilometer 20+500 of Highway 26, on the Coast of Hermosillo. The institution is conducting investigations to precisely determine the number of human remains found, using scientific methods to establish their identity and the circumstances of their discovery.

So far, the Attorney General's Office has confirmed the presence of human remains in the 11 graves located, although the exact number of victims is still being determined through a thorough forensic analysis. The search and recovery work of human remains is supported by personnel from the Criminal Investigation Ministerial Agency (AMIC), members of the National Guard, and the Commission for the Search of Missing Persons of the State of Sonora, as well as from the Deputy Attorney General's Office for Missing Persons.

The FGJES emphasized the importance of properly processing each of the sites to clarify the events and provide answers to the affected families. In its statement, the Attorney General's Office reiterated its commitment to the victims and their families, highlighting that these efforts are part of a continuous endeavor to strengthen investigation and justice in the state.

On the other hand, the collective for searching missing persons, Buscadoras por la Paz, announced its preliminary data regarding the work in this coastal area and highlighted that the remains found could belong to 27 people. The organization stated on its social networks that they are processing 26 clandestine graves, contrasting with the official information, although it did not detail the conditions of these sites.

Buscadoras por la Paz calls on individuals with a missing family member to go to the facilities of the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) to carry out the necessary comparison and identification processes.
