Vitamin Drip Deaths: Sonora Authorities Search for Doctor

The state of Sonora has intensified the search for the presumed responsible party in connection with deaths and health issues linked to the administration of vitamin drips in Hermosillo. The investigation began on March 30 following the deaths of two people—a father and son—who experienced a sudden deterioration after receiving the infusions. Since then, at least eight investigation files have been opened, some related to fatalities and others to health impacts. As part of the investigation, on March 31, the establishment where the treatments were administered was secured, along with clinical records and medical supplies, some of which were irregular. A survivor's account has reinforced doubts about the facility's conditions. The man, who survived three applications, described risky practices, such as handling medical equipment without hygiene measures and advising against specialized medications. “My intuition told me: run,” he recounted, recalling when he began to distrust the procedure.
