
During her work tour in Japan, the governor of Guanajuato, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, revealed that the Japanese company SK TEC will make a new investment of 380 million pesos to expand its plant in the Castro del Río Industrial Park, located in Irapuato.
Hideki Kawase, president of SK TEC, highlighted that this investment reaffirms the company's commitment to the economic development of Guanajuato and the creation of quality jobs. For her part, the governor emphasized that this investment decision reflects the confidence that Japanese companies have in Guanajuato, thanks to its infrastructure, human talent, and investment attraction policies.
García added that Japan remains the main trading partner of the state, with a total of 145 Japanese companies that have contributed to the generation of more than 48,000 jobs in the region. In addition to SK TEC's investment, during her visit to Japan, the governor announced other investment projects, such as those from the companies Senyo and ATECS, which together represent more than 31 million dollars and the creation of over 200 jobs in the municipalities of Abasolo and León, respectively.
The expansion of the SK TEC plant will not only involve a significant investment but will also generate 80 new direct jobs, thus strengthening the company's presence in the region. The company, specialized in the manufacturing of high-precision metallic components for the automotive industry, has been operating in Irapuato since 2013.
