
The Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development (SADER) of Jalisco, led by Ana Lucía Camacho Sevilla, participated in the Agro-Food Expo in Irapuato, Guanajuato, one of the recognized events in Latin America in the agro-food sector. This fair, in its twenty-ninth edition, brought together producers, investors, and experts from the sector around the latest agricultural trends and technologies.
In this context, Camacho Sevilla emphasized the importance of strengthening local events such as the Agricultural Expo of Ciudad Guzmán, highlighting interesting topics in technology, innovation, artificial intelligence, and sustainability. She pointed out this opportunity as a valuable space for learning and doing business, emphasizing the topics addressed at the exhibition.
The Agro-Food Expo provided attendees with a tour that included conferences, demonstration plots of horticultural crops, and pavilions dedicated to water management and new technologies for the field. These innovations aim to benefit Jalisco producers by offering more efficient and environmentally friendly practices.
During the inauguration of the event, figures such as the governor of Guanajuato, Libia Denisse García Muñoz Ledo, and the president of the National Agricultural Council, Juan Cortina Gallardo, highlighted the importance of the Agro-Food Expo as a key space for the growth and modernization of the agro-food sector in Mexico.
The presence of SADER Jalisco at the expo also included a strategic meeting with the State Agro-Food Council of Guanajuato, the Guanajuato Food Cluster, and Irrigation District 011. In this meeting, opportunities for collaboration in the technification of the field and training to improve irrigation systems were explored, demonstrating the synergy between Jalisco and Guanajuato in seeking to strengthen the sustainable and competitive development of their agricultural sectors.
