
The Attorney General's Office of the Republic (FGR) carried out the detention in León, Guanajuato, of Arturo "N", known as "Don Arturo", who is identified as the alleged supplier of arms for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) in the region and considered a high-priority target by the authorities. Alongside him, Gisela "N", nicknamed "La Chepina", an alleged member of the CJNG, and a minor were also arrested in an operation conducted in three properties in the Cerrito de Jerez and Jardines de Jerez neighborhoods.
During the operation, nine long guns and six handguns were seized, as well as a probable quantity of hydrochloride of methamphetamine, marijuana, LSD, nearly two thousand 500 rounds and magazines of different calibers. Additionally, tactical equipment with insignias of a criminal group, cash, a vehicle, and other items related to criminal activities were confiscated.
Arturo "N" had been detained previously on various occasions but had been released by prior judicial decisions. The FGR continued its investigative work to achieve his capture, and now the Federal Public Ministry will proceed legally for offenses related to possession for the purpose of commerce of illegal substances and firearms exclusive for use.
