The municipal administration of León has launched the call for the Educational Scholarship 2025, a support program aimed at students of all educational levels with the goal of preventing school dropout due to lack of resources. Mayor Ale Gutiérrez announced the opening of this initiative during the Honoring the Flag event at the Jaime Sabines Gutiérrez primary school, highlighting the importance of education for the city's development.
"We want no student to drop out of school due to lack of opportunities. The most valuable thing we have in León is you, and our mission is to provide you with tools to achieve your dreams," said the municipal mayor. For the year 2025, the local government has allocated 83.4 million pesos to scholarships, the highest amount awarded so far in this area.
The call is open in stages for the different educational levels:
- University: Since February 28. - High School: Since March 3. - Secondary: Starting March 7. - Primary: Starting March 10.
The deadline for submitting applications will end on March 28 for all educational levels. Regarding the amounts of support, these will vary according to the academic level: 6,000 pesos for university students, 5,000 pesos for high school students, and 4,000 pesos for primary and secondary students.
In addition to the Educational Scholarship 2025, the mayor mentioned the availability of other supports, such as the Transport Scholarship, Read-León Scholarship, and Excellence Scholarship, inviting students to stay alert for future calls.
